I‘ve been a licensed agent since 2002, starting in California and working through Idaho, North Carolina and arriving to Virginia in 2011. I’ve sold over 1,000 homes in the last 20 years and encountered 1,000 challenges.
Growing up in the SF Bay Area gave me a unique exposure to real estate in the 80’s. I thought everyone’s property values doubled every 5 years. Entering the market eager and naive in 2002, I struggled through the dot-com bust and moved with many other Californians to Idaho where the tech industry was growing. I ended up joining a team in Boise and worked primarily in new construction, leveraging the power of the NINJA loan.
A few years into the move and we suffered another economic exodus with the mortgage market implode. A military move took my family to North Carolina in 2008 where I focused my efforts on short sales and foreclosures.
Working with military families, many like my own, were relocating to unknown areas, arriving without a single point of contact to list on the kids’ emergency card at school. This need helped me identify the values I could offer as a Realtor.
